About Safia McCook *
Safia McCook is a photographer, creative director, and archivist. She uses imagery to explore memory, culture, and identity blending film photography with digital tools, fashion language with everyday environments, and softness with power.
Her work lives between portraiture, campaign direction, storytelling, and research.
She is influenced by music videos, family albums, early 2000s design, and the visual archives of Black culture both in the Uk and the USA
Whether she is shooting on film or shaping a concept deck, she is always interested in how visuals can carry feeling, history, and presence.
Saint Studios is her creative practice a visual space where photography, direction, archiving, and cultural memory intersect. It is part studio, part scrapbook, and part visual journal. Through Saint Studios, she collaborates with artists, brands, and communities to bring images to life that feel intentional, emotional, and rooted
She is currently obsessed with early 2000s gaming aesthetics, clashing fonts, and nuances in music that get better with each listen. She believes in storytelling as preservation and collaboration as ritual.
